Hokusai's The Great Wave

This piece is absolutely breathtaking. The tsunami has a certain elegance; like it's some sort of mystical being. For something so fearsome to be so beautiful is incredible. Hokusai is an genius.

  2. I have always loved this art of water. It is very interesting the way they pertray it. The tops of the waves seem prickally like a cacui or bush. Its funny to me that in this spacific peice, I notice the water only then a couple minutes later i see the little moutain.
